Habit 2 Begin With The End in Mind

This month our Leader in Me habit that we are learning about is Habit 2, Begin With The End in Mind. Students will be learning to create a plan for what the need and want to do. They have created class goals and individual goals which they have been tracking and charting.

Our fabulous fourth graders have been presenting our Monday Morning Announcements. Ask your student what goal they are working on.

Unity Day

October 21 is Unity Day. The Pedrozzi Young Scholar Foundation will be in front of the school between 1:00-2:00 with orange strips of paper that students can write statement on how they can support Unity Day. We will also have strips in front of the school next Tuesday and Wednesday, that students can write on This is a day focused on preventing bullying and promoting kindness, acceptance and inclusion. Participants are encouraged to wear orange on this day and take the pledge to create a bully free world by:

  • supporting others who have been hurt or harmed
  • treating others with kindness
  • being more accepting of people‚Äôs differences
  • helping include those who are left out

Picture Day

School pictures will be taken Wednesday, October 28 and Thursday, October 29 in the MPR. Only students will be allowed in and must be wearing masks. Students are scheduled for pictures based on their last name. Pictures can be purchased online, see below for more information. Please remember to practice Social Distancing rules while waiting in line.

Online Book Fair

We will be having a virtual book fair that will begin Wednesday, October 28 and runs through November 13. Here is the link to Book Fair site.


Our PTO is sponsoring a coloring contest and a costume contest. See the link for more information. We are also encouraging students to wear their costume when they come to pick up their supplies on October 30.

Supply Pick Up

Supply pick up for November and December for most classes will be October 30. The schedule is slightly different.

12:00-1:00 Kinder on kindergarten playground & 1st grade in front of the school

1:00-2:00 2nd grade kindergarten playground & 3rd grade in front of the school

2:00-3:00 5th grade in front of school

2:30-3:30 4th grade kindergarten playground

School Reopening

A task force made up of staff and parents are working on a plan to submit to the county. There will be an important survey that needs to be completed for all students coming out so that the plan can be precise. While the numbers are going down in Alameda County they are trending up in Livermore. More information will be shared when it is available.
