Course Selection 22/23

From Centennial School Counselors

PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE NEWSLETTER!

Welcome to Centennial for the 22/23 School Year

School counselors are currently on summer break but excited to have you join the Husky family! We are looking forward to returning just in time for Orientation at the end of July.

Make sure you start the year off right by attending your scheduled orientation! Specific dates and times are listed below. YOUR PARENT OR LEGAL GUARDIAN MUST REGISTER YOU ONLINE PRIOR TO ATTENDING SUMMER ORIENTATION. Please have your parents visit https://parentconnect.cnusd.k12.ca.us to complete the process.

During orientation, you will receive your school ID card, schedule, textbooks, an optional parking permit (juniors/seniors), an optional off-campus lunch pass (juniors/seniors) and you will be able to purchase student store items. You can also register for a locker if you would like one for the year. If you are in 9th, 10th, or 11th grade you will take your yearbook photo during orientation. Make sure to look your best and remember to smile. If you are a senior, you will take your yearbook portrait at the Cherished Memories Studio in Corona. You will need to make an appointment to set up your photo session by visiting cherishedmemoriesphotography.com

While you wait for the orientation, please look below at the course selection presentations that were given in the spring to each grade level. There is also a breakdown of what you need to know going into this next year. In addition, it gives you a list of what classes are required and what your elective options are for this year. Please remember as we approach the new year, electives do reach capacity. There is a list of electives below that ARE NO LONGER AVAILABLE. Students will not be placed in these courses.

Finally, school counselors are assigned to students based on LAST NAME OR PROGRAM (Emerging Multilingual Learner, Puente, or Umoja). You are welcome to email your course preferences to your assigned counselor, but please keep in mind they are currently on summer break and will respond when they get back in the office. School counselors are not working until the end of July. Click here to meet your Centennial School Counselors

We hope you have a great break and look forward to assisting you at orientation!
