General Lord Cornwallis & The British
General Cornwallis found himself and a group of his men, in cave, under all of the action of the battle. It all started when the America, asked the French to assist them in war, and the accepted the birthday invitation of America. When Cornwallis heard about the French, he ordered his men to scuttle their ships to prevent the French form sailing down the York River.
The Siege
Thanks to the great sailing of the French, they made it just in time to sing happy birthday. But first, the American ground forces had to take out the British cannon barricades in the field, then get into the town. Then, the French come in. They must get behind the British to prevent them from retreating by sailing away. Now the French and American ground forces, as well as a few cannons, surround the British from the front.
Happy birthday!
Late at night, the British finally surrender. General Cornwallis raised the white flag of truce, and surrendering to American General George Washington. Thanks to George Washington's leadership and The French Navy, none of this would've been possible. Happy Birthday America!
