A Message from the Superintendent
Coach Thomas Honors the Number #26
Over the years I have had many players that have made a huge impact on me, their teammates, and their community. When I ordered new jerseys last spring I had an idea of honoring 2 of my former players. With the help of Cozzi Foundation, I ordered the number 26 jersey in every size to use as a weekly team award for the 8th grade team. The number 26 represents Camron Cozzi #2 and Brooks Rolfness #6. Both Camron and Brooks played 7th and 8th grade football several years ago. Unfortunately both of their lives ended far to soon. Camron lost a long battle with DIPG brain cancer on his 18th birthday, and Brooks took his own life his freshman year of high school.
The idea behind this award was to encourage my current players to be good teammates, work hard both on and off the field, support one another, and to honor the memory of Camron and Brooks.
At practice yesterday, I gave out the first #26 jersey to Alex B. Alex is a silent leader that leads more by his actions than his words. He has been doing a great job at practice and is one of those kids that will do anything that is asked of him.
