P-TECH Mission Statement
Do you know the mission statement for P-TECH?
What is a mission statement?
- A mission statement is used by a P-TECH to explain, in simple and concise terms, its purpose.
- Mission statements serve several purposes, including motivating employees and students and reassuring partners of the future of P-TECH.
Why do we need to know the mission statement?
- To ensure that all members of P-TECH share a common goal.
- To ensure that parents, students, staff, community members, and partners work together to ensure the students of P-TECH are fulfilling the P-TECH mission.

Student-Parent contracts must be signed by all students and parents by September 15th. If a student is missing the form, please contact Mrs. Urteaga for a contract. Parents-please take the time to read the contract. You will find tips on how to support your dual credit student at home.
Dual Credit Update
Dual Credit at TAMUSA an awesome partnership
Students are entering into their 4 week of class. Students are working with Mr. Stone to ensure that they are transitioning into the dual credit realm. Parents are encouraged to check on student progress by having students log in to the jaguar account. The grades for dual credit will not show on the ECHS parent portal as these are grades from the university not the high school. This is a reminder that the University Seminar course is a dual credit course and will be on the student's permanent college transcript. The last day to drop the dual credit course without any type of penalty is September 13th.
Intervention Days
Students who are struggling in their P-TECH courses are encouraged to stay with Mrs. Ruiz on Tuesday and Thursday from 4:30 to 5:30 in room 310. This is a time to work one on one with dual credit support staff. Please email Mrs. Ruiz with questions.

Uniform Policy
Uniform Policy
As part of the P-TECH program students and parents agree to follow the uniform guidelines set out by the program leadership team. Students are held accountable for their actions at school in preparation for their professional career. If students are not in uniform, students will be written up. On the 5th minor infraction the students will be placed in ISS and a mandatory parent conference will need to be held in order for the student to maintain their spot in the program. As we are growing young professionals it is crucial that the students understand the importance of following rules, respect, and professionalism. At P-TECH we are educating the next generation of medical professionals. Our goal is to ensure that our students are career-ready when they graduate, with parent support, this goal will be attained by every student.
It is the expectation that students wear their uniform all day.
