A Note From the Principal...

Hello Students and Parents!

The Holiday Season is quickly approaching and we have many special events coming up soon!

This week 8th Grade is starting their Career Seminars and attending the Knox County Career Center. This Thursday is an Early Release for Parent Teacher Conferences and students in 7th and 8th grade will participate in a survey from Richland County Public Health. I encourage you to check out the information from RCPH about the Survey that will be given. At 3pm on on Conference night will be our first PAC (Parent Advisory Committee) Meeting. All parents are invited to attend. We will be reviewing events coming up in the near future and discussing ways parents can help out! And finally Friday will be performance of the Middle School Play: "Charming."

Next week we only will be in session on Monday and Tuesday but we will have 3 performances of the play. Monday night at 7pm will be the performance for the parents and for the community. We return to school on November 29 and Interim Reports go home Friday December 2. We will be planning many exciting events for December!

I would like to give a special thank you to all of the parents who participated in the bulletin board during conference night. The board asked parents to fill out a post it note with "My Child is really good at..." The students and staff have enjoyed reading all of the responses. We hope to get even more responses this Thursday during conferences.

I hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving!

Mrs. Jennifer Klaus

7th Grade Field Trip

The 7th grade students attended Heartland Outdoor School on November 7, 2022. Students loved fire building and creating a shelter. Many of the students were awesome at archery. They got frustrated at team building but then succeeded after trying the obstacles many times. It was interesting to see the students who emerged as leaders and helped the team overcome the challenge. It was a beautiful fall day with students learning outside of the classroom. ~Mrs. Staley
