Week of November 2nd.
I am very excited to let you know that our students will be able to perform a Winter Concert for you this December! I have spent a lot of time working with district and campus administration to put in place safety protocols for social distancing. Although our concerts will look very different from a typical school year, I am grateful to have the opportunity for our students to perform for you! They have been working very hard this year and we are all excited for you to finally hear what we have been working on!
As you can probably imagine, there are a lot of new policies that we have to follow for this to be a successful event. Please read all of the below info carefully!
All concerts will take place in the SMS Gym and there will be a cap on the number of audience members in attendance. All students and audience members must be masked. Concerts will last approximately 20 minutes.
Due to capacity restrictions and to allow for social distancing, we will be doing three separate concerts rather than one big one for all three choirs. Students/Parents will only attend their choir’s performance.
6th Grade 1st & 3rd Period – Wednesday, Dec. 2, at 6:30 PM. Student call time is 6:10 PM.
6th Grade 7th Period – Wednesday, Dec. 2, at 7:30 PM. Student call time is 7:10 PM.
Cantabile (5th Period) – Tuesday, Dec. 8, at 5:30 PM. Student call time is 5:10 PM.
Men’s Chorus (2nd Period) – Tuesday, Dec. 8, at 6:30 PM. Student call time is 6:10 PM.
Bel Canto (6th Period) – Tuesday, Dec. 8, at 7:30 PM. Student call time is 7:10 PM.
The dress for the concert will be Black Choir T-Shirts, Blue Jeans, and closed toed shoes.
Due to capacity restrictions, each student will only be allowed two guest/audience members. I know there are many families with multiple family members/guests that would normally attend a performance. I will be recording the concert and will send the video out to everyone so you will be able to share/watch it.
Audience members will need to reserve a spot ahead of time. We have to know exactly who is in the building at all times for social distancing.
All Students and Guests will need to confirm/register to attend the concert.
The concert is optional for students, but I do strongly recommend everyone attend if you are comfortable with it. Performing music is the best part of being in choir!
Additionally, any guests that would like to attend the concert need to be registered as well. Please go to the following form to confirm your student and register to attend the concert. EVERYONE needs to fill out this form whether you are planning on performing or not. Please fill out this form no later than Friday, November 20.
I'm so excited that we are able to have a choir fundraiser this year! For the safety of our students, we have found a contact-free way to offer our delicious cookie dough! We have two options for your customers.
Option A: If your customers would like items shipped directly to their homes (or they do not live in the area) they can choose the Ship to Home Brochure and shop from the online store. There’s something for everyone! No order form, no collecting funds and no delivering product – everything ships directly to the customer. They never see the cookie dough product section as cookie dough CAN NOT be shipped to home – it’s frozen.
Option B: If your customer is someone close by or someone you see often; they can choose the Ship to School Brochure. There they can shop from all of our items AND for our delicious Cookie Dough! No order form, no collecting funds and products will be delivered to the school (see fact sheet for delivery date) and we will provide a Drive-Thru pick up. No contact when picking up your orders – we will put them in your car for you. You then deliver to your customers. If you’re wanting a contact free way to deliver to the customer – simply contact the customer and tell them what date and time you will drop their items on their porch and then text when their product is there. DO NOT drop off cookie dough without the customer knowing it’s on the porch as you do not want it sitting there for hours.
Your student registered in class today, and all of the information is posted in Google Classroom! You MUST register before sending out information to your supporters.
