Here's what is important to remember about December: People are BUSY! Everyone is crazy busy preparing for the holidays. Whether they are hosting at their house, or traveling for the holidays everyone has a full plate this time of year. This is where the "creative pop up" is going to come into play. We have to find ways to pop up with out an actual "hostess".
Vendor events can be good this time of year, but what about partnering with another small business and setting up there? Or make house calls for all your VIP customers. Call them and let them know you are offering personalized service this holiday season and can come to them and let them shop! (Bring a jewelry roll full of your favorite pieces, and look books...go the extra mile and offer to ship the items to you and gift wrap for them!). Or meet a few people at a coffee shop, and let them shop! There are literally ENDLESS ways to get those jewels in front of your customers.
Also, don't forget about the MEN! Men are all shopping right now too so make sure you are reaching out to them as well. Trust me, they would much rather order some jewelry from home, have it gift wrapped and sent to them then have to brave the mall right now. *Top tip: reach out to your neighbors! I'm meeting with my neighbor tomorrow to help him pick jewelry out for his girlfriend. Then I'm going to ship it to myself, gift wrap it and hand deliver it to him.*
This is the time of the year to go the EXTRA mile for your customers. Like I said before, everyone is busy, so the easier you can make it for them, the better it will be!
