What was the change?

The change in the Renaissance occurred when the Crusades increased European demand for luxury goods from Asia. Italian merchants began to demand trade in Europe. The Italian cities and the middle class who were wealthy began to form Italy. The trade came from Florence which spared the Renaissance. The Medici family were wealthy middle class men that used their wealth to turn Florence into Italy's artistic cities. The Kings were able to tax merchants and build armies and strong nations.During the Hundred Year War, nationalism increased loyalty to their king. The rise of trade gave people the option to leave the manor and move to cities to serve as merchants or skilled artisans. During the Renaissance, people had more options and it led to the belief that people can accomplish anything.

How did the change impact society at the time?

The change impacted society at the time because it helped the government by the invention of the long bow, which helped soldiers accurately shoot 300 yards. The Chinese gunpowder upgraded to cannons that helped the armies demolish castles. The change in religion changed because the Catholic Church and Pope was an important part in their lives. It increased the human potential because after the plague broke out, the people that survived were allowed more rights with their wages. People were now more focused on wealth and ability, due to the Renaissance. The requirements for the men or "Renaissance Men" was to be well educated, smart, can dance, do poetry, and play music. The women were required to have the same as men, but couldn't have fame or political power.


How is that change evidenced in today's modern society?

The change is evidenced in today's modern society because most people still believe they can accomplish anything and in order to get a job, you have to have education. The soldiers and armies still use the cannons to destroy things or people we're against. It is evidenced today because people are interested in different forms and textures of art that are presented in museums and other p;aces where art may be shown. Today, artist still create didn't forms of art that is similar to the art and sculptures that Leornardo Da Vinci, Michelangelo, etc. created.
