In this course, we will continue learning about the structure and aspects of the Italian language. The focus of this course is to review both basic and advanced grammar, as well as enhance vocabulary and comprehensive skills through reading of culturally-based articles and short stories. The goal of this course is to help students find balance between understanding the important aspects of grammar, as well as develop language skills and vocabulary that one is likely to use in the real world. Basic knowledge of Italian or completion of Italian Level I is recommended.

Welcome to Italian Cultural and Conversation course. This course is ideal for all those who wish to learn and gain greater knowledge of every aspect of the Italian language and culture. This course is perfect for those who love to speak, and desire to have a deeper understanding and learning of everything Italian. During this course we will listen to Italian music, watch Italian movies and videos, read articles and short stories detailing Italian culture and life. The main purpose of this course is to speak! Venite e parliamo italiano!

Textbook: None needed. The instructor will provide all necessary material.

Casa Italiana Summer Camp

Week I (Ages 5-7): Monday, July 8 – Friday, July 12
Week II (Ages 8-10): Monday, July 15 – Friday, July 19

Our children’s summer camp returns! During week-long sessions, children learn about the cultural heritage of Italy and study the Italian language. Children will participate in various indoor and outdoor activities, including Italian language games, cooking classes, theater, dancing, soccer, and more. Both weeks’ programs begin at 9:30 am and finish at 3:30 pm. Returning students are welcome to come and learn new vocabulary and cultural themes, and parents are invited at the end of the week for a performance to demonstrate what their children have learned.
