Knightly Update May 23, 2021
Edition Vol 9 Issue 40
I am full of emotions as I write the final newsletter of the year and close the chapter on ACP-Erie. I am full of pride, excitement and anticipation, along with sadness as we come to the final week of the school year.
I am very proud of the Class of 2021 and look forward to sharing in their excitement as they graduate from high school on Thursday. Yet, I am sad knowing this will be the final farewell as they go on to new adventures and work to meet their personal and life goals. I have no doubt they will do well and I have a sense of security knowing the type of individuals we are sending into the world. Good luck Class of 2021 - we will miss you, but will look back fondly on the impact you had on our school.
I am also proud of all that we accomplished as a school on the Erie campus. While I am eager and excited to move to our new campus, I am sad to say goodbye to ACP-Erie. We've had a tremendous nine years at Erie, and accomplished many individual and site accolades that many schools dream to earn. It will be difficult to lock these doors for the final time, but I find comfort knowing that the community we have created, the traditions we have established, and the students that will move with us, will help to develop a foundation for an equally impressive new campus community. While I look forward to all that the future holds, I cannot help but find gratitude in what ACP-Erie provided. Thank you, ACP-Erie, for everything.
Lastly, I want to thank you all for your wonderful support. ACP is ACP because of all of you - from our students, teachers, staff, admin, parents, community partnerships, and extended family relations, ACP is ACP because of us, all of us. There is not one simple ingredient that makes ACP so special. We all bring our own "flavor," our own uniqueness, our own hopes, our own dreams; and that, in my opinion is what makes ACP so special. We are a community - a community of learners, a community of dreamers, a community of Knights, and I am so thankful to be a part of this adventure. I promise to do all I can to build upon our legacy and continue to strive for the impossible and be extraordinary, regardless of the building we are in. Thank you for being a part of our school and my life. Have a wonderful summer and congratulations to the Class of 2021.
Sincerely,
Rob Bickes
Principal
