Solar Nebula Theory

The Solar Nebula Theory
According to the theory stars form in massive, dense clouds called giant molecular clouds. These clouds are unstable and matter condenses into smaller, denser clumps inside. These clouds collapse and form stars. This can give birth to planets under the right circumstances. The process is thought to take at least 100 million years.
About the solar nebula theory
The theory basically shows that stars are formed over time through many steps and then eventually collapse to make smaller planets. Then the planets start to orbit around the star. The theory was developed by Immanuel Kant and published in his Universal Natural History and Theory of the Heaven.
