Dear Parents and Guardians,
Welcome to the 2022 - 2023 School Year here at Whispering Wind Academy. As you may have noticed, last week's newsletter was short with a chunk of important information. The beginning of every year comes with a wealth of information for parents that is easily overlooked. So in an effort to ensure parents see what's necessary, we are chunking the beginning of year information for parents. Moving forward, you will be able to see past Newsletters by checking Links below.
Below are some important dates for parents to know of and attend:
Kindergarten:
- Kindergarten - Supply Drop Off will occur on August 9th at Kindergarten Orientation
- Student & Parent Orientation - 9:00 am - 11:00 am; Parents drop kiddos off with teachers at 8:45 am & head to the WWA MPR
- First Day of School - August 10th 8:45 am - 3:05 pm
- Dismissal is at 3:05 pm daily for Kindergarten students
- Beginning August 15th, Morning Recess starts at 8:15 am
Grades 1-6:
- Supply Drop Off - August 8th 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm
- First Day of School - August 9th 8:45 am - 3:15 pm
- Drop off the week of August 9th as early as 8:25 am
- Beginning August 15th, Morning Recess starts at 8:15 am
Curriculum Night Grades 1 - 6 - August 23rd:
- Grades 1 & 2, Bastida, Juric, Anderson, Gifted 4th: 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm
- Grades 3 & 4, Stewart, Fitzpatrick, Gifted 5/6: 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm
- Grades 5 & 6: 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm
All parents need to update your students' emergency card following the process described below!
Dear PVSchools Parents and Guardians,
The online version of our Annual Update process is now available for the 2022-23 school year. The Annual Update allows you to make any updates to your contact information such as address changes, phone number changes, changes to a child’s health history, as well as update emergency contact information. This will replace the printed Emergency Card.
Please go to Portal.pvschools.net.
Select More and then Annual Update.
You may also click the Annual Update link on the
Announcement Page.

La versión en línea para el Proceso Anual de Actualización de Información ya se encuentra disponible para el ciclo escolar 2022-2023. Esto les permite a ustedes actualizar su información de contacto como: cambio de domicilio, a los números de teléfono, historial de salud del alumno y la información de personas de contacto. Dicha actualización reemplaza la Tarjeta de Emergencia impresa.
Visiten la página Portal.pvschools.net, donde tendrán que hacer clic en el botón “Campus Parent” para entrar como padre de familia o “Campus Student” para entrar como alumno.
Seleccione el botón “MORE” y
luego “Annual Update” desde la página de avisos en el Centro de Mensajes.

From Our Nutrition And Wellness Department!
The Nutrition & Wellness Department will return to charging students for their meals based on their free, reduced, and paid meal application status during the 2022-2023 SY. The 2022-2023 Free & Reduced Meal Application will be available starting Monday, July 11, 2022 for parents to complete. Online meal applications can be completed at EZMealApp.com; this paperless option is encouraged because online applications can be processed within 24 hours of their submission.
