The Young Minds Dreaming Student Poetry Contest is now open for all South Carolina students in grades 3 through 12.This year's theme is "What Inspires You?"

We are thrilled that award-winning author Pat Mora is our featured poet this year and will join us for a ceremony in late spring 2021 to celebrate the 2020 and 2021 winners.

Students can submit poems in English, bilingual Spanish-English, or transcribed from those who have a visual disability.

The deadline for all student submissions is Monday, February 15, 2021 at 5:00 p.m.

First, second and third place winners are determined by judges for Grades 3-5, Grades 6-8, and Grades 9-12. Winners will be invited to the awards ceremony to share their poem and receive prizes including books and gift cards.
