Indoor Sports/Water Polo - Testing
The CIF/CDPH mandates periodical testing for indoor athletics. Testing protocol for Indoor Sports includes weekly testing for practice and within 48 hours for games.
Student Athletes will need to provide negative tests on Mondays and Thursdays for the duration of the season. Student Athletes will turn in tests via google classroom for their respective teams.
Every following Monday and Thursday (for the season), students will need to provide negative results to continue to participate.
WATER POLO - will need to test when the adjusted case rate in the county rises above 7. We are currently above 7 and athletes will need to be tested before the game next Monday.
Student athletes have been successful getting tested for Covid using the following:
Testing through the Healthy Davis, free testing program. CLICK HERE for an information guide on how to get your student athlete tested. Creating an account takes about 10 minutes. Appointments run fairly quickly and have multiple sites within Davis.
Testing through your primary care physician. Using your family doctor, schedule appointments for testing.
ON SITE TESTING
Our COVID-19 testing program with the CDPH, Valencia Branch Lab and Color began smoothly at DHS on Monday 4/26. Thank you to those who participated and who have registered online. Results are arriving in less than 48 hours, next day in some cases.
Parents/Guardians may still register students if you would like to use the school's testing program. Please use this link to register them:
A parent or guardian must register any minor under 18 years old. You’ll give a one-time consent and HIPAA authorization to share their results with the school and district. All questions included in registration are required for California state public health reporting. You’ll be asked for insurance information; but, please note this program is free.
DHS Testing Details:
Days: Mondays and Thursdays only
Times: 2:30pm-3:30pm no appointment needed, will test in order students arrive

For more information on testing with Color, including self-swab testing and receiving results, head to their COVID-19 FAQs.
Additional questions, please contact Assistant Principal Bob Bugalski at Dixon High School.
ENTRANCE LOCATIONS/PROTOCOLS FOR ALL GAMEDAYS
2. For home games, rosters will be provided to the gate. Each player is allowed two spectators. Spectators will check in with the student's name and up to two checks per player will be marked on the roster. No more than two checks per player.
3. Visiting team rosters will be provided and the same check in system will apply.
4. Teams with athletes arriving for practice will also enter through the baseball gate.
5. All indoor venue games will use the gym entrance next to the wrestling room with the same procedures.
Limitation on Spectators (Outdoor/Indoor)
DUSD, in consultation with the Solano County Health Department, will admit immediate household members (up to 2) of student athletes for the strict purpose of supervision into home contests along with essential staff. No other fans or spectators will be admitted.
Essential staff may vary depending on the sport and contest.
Limit observation of youth sports (age 18 years and under) to immediate household members, and for the strict purpose of age appropriate supervision. This includes observation of practice and competition. Limit number of observers to ensure physical distance can be maintained, reduce potential crowding, and maintain indoor and outdoor capacity limits.
Consider video streaming of games so that they can be watched "live" from home.
