Mrs. Greene's 3rd Grade
December 7, 2018
A Super Week!
This week was filled with lots of energy and enthusiasm! We had to stop many times today for reminders to be good listeners.
I gave your child a WEEKEND READING CHALLENGE...Read 90 minutes and log minutes in Biblionasium. For every minute read, your child earns a DOJO Point. Minutes read must be logged before school on Monday morning, December 10.
I will be out of school on Monday, December 10. I told the kids today and they cheered when they heard Mrs. Vits will be their substitute. I will be back ready for action on Tuesday!
Next Friday, December 14 is our last Dojo Store in 2018. If you are itching to clean out a closet/drawer and need a place for some of your "valuables" feel free to send them our way. Students are saving those hard-earned Dojos for their big shopping day!
I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Community Circle
A few highlights from our morning Community Circle time:
- We do an activity called Pass It Around. This activity requires students to look to their left/right and pass something around - a smile, hug, high 5, etc... Nick said today that doing this activity makes him feel that he MATTERS in Room 9. Isn't that sweet?
- We love to watch short America's Funniest Videos as a way to start our day off with a few giggles.
- We worked on solving some recess issues by brainstorming solutions to problems that are continuing to arise - boys playing soccer/arguments, girls feeling jealous of others which leads to drama, etc... I am seeing some positive results from our discussions.
