Find The Fireflies
So how do we uncover these hidden strengths? By getting to know them on a personal level, beyond academics. As you'll recall, building these personal relationships with students is part of one of our priorities this year to focus on relationships between and amongst all members of our school community. How can we take a meaningful step with our students? The blog's author, in a different post, shares 10 Ways to Determine the Strengths of Your Students that range from the familiar, such as All About Me activities and surveys, to the novel, like Genius Hour. I encourage you to pick one that's new to you to try out with one or more of your fireflies and to share with others how they worked in revealing your students' strengths and how you used that information to help them shine.
Notes And Reminders:
- All Science Expo applications are due Monday. Please send down to the office or put in Lauren's mailbox. Lauren can also answer any questions you have about this year's expo.
- Have you paid your social dues yet? The Social Committee has many wonderful ideas but is short on funds to make those ideas a reality. Please consider paying soon so we can enjoy their fun activities and treats.
