We need EGGS! We got 2 dozen eggs last week. We would LOVE more!! Please help us!!! Egg Donations Needed! 4th and 5th grade students are in need of plain white (non-organic) eggs to ride as passengers in their crash-test vehicles. We have 10 classes testing vehicle restraint creations and are in need of as many packs of eggs as possible. (160 is the goal! We currently have 24.) Please drop off eggs at the front office on Monday or Tuesday, Feb. 6th or 7th so we are prepared for this week! Thank you so much!
Calling All Interested (and cleared) Volunteers! ILAB needs support. If you are interested in volunteering in the ILAB, please contact Jacqueline Hardt at jacqueline.hardt@gmail.com. She will then send you the sign-up link with more information.

Attendance Matters:
Please make sure you call the office EACH day that your chilld is absent. If you do not connect with Mrs. Melinda Clay within 24 hours of the absence, you run the risk of having an unexcused absence.
Here is CUSD's Attendance Policy.
If your child will be absent more than 5 days, you will need to fill out an Independent Contract for Study. Please review procedures here.
Purple Star School Designation
The California Department of Education has published the list of Purple Star Schools, and Coronado Village Elementary is one of them (less than 100 designated schools in CA)! We are honored to support our community!
About the Purple Star School Designation
The California Purple Star School Designation Program (Purple Star Program) seeks to reduce the burden on military-connected students and their families by articulating the most critical transition supports for military-connected students and their families by publicly designating schools that meet certain requirements. The program signals which schools are the most committed and best equipped to meet their unique needs.
The Purple Star Program was designed to help mitigate the challenges of high mobility by setting standards for and publicly designating military-friendly schools. The Purple Star Program’s true value derives from its potential to:
- Centralize and make knowledge accessible
- Develop stakeholder networks
- Support schools in cultivating and communicating cultural competency in supporting military-connected families.
