Waggoner Road Junior High Ancients
20-21 SY Edition 5, September 14, 2020
Ancient Trees
Ancient trees are irreplaceable.
Steeped in history, these impressive trees have been standing tall for hundreds of years, witnessing momentous historical events while providing invaluable homes for wildlife.
The older the tree, the more vital to wildlife it becomes.
Schedules
Hybrid will not begin on Monday September 21st as originally planned. We will continue in the capacity in which we are currently. Stay-tuned for information as we progress toward the Hybrid model. Below is the school schedule when we transition to Hybrid. Have your student become familiar with what their schedule says in preparation for the transition.
We will remain with our distance learning model through, at least, the end of the first quarter (which concludes Friday, October 16).
The reasons for staying on distance learning are outside of our District’s control; it is not due to increased COVID-19 cases or health-related circumstances. Rather, some of the third-party resources and classroom infrastructure that we were led to believe would be available to us now are not.
This means that our teachers need additional time to adjust and adapt their classrooms to fully meet the needs of students enrolled in both our in-person hybrid learning model and the virtual academy. It does not mean that the learning models parents chose for their students will change; it does mean that the work within those models for our teachers will change. Our teachers are certainly busy and constantly adjusting and they are just as dedicated to making this work.
Exciting news!
