Bryan Families,

As we head into Thanksgiving break, I want to reiterate Dr. Sutfin’s message about it taking everyone in our community to knock-back COVID19. We have felt the effects of the Omaha communities numbers rising and I hope we feel the intensity lessen in the coming weeks. We ask that you help us by Avoiding the 3C’s outside of school.

If you have COVID exposure to report over break, please email me - jmfeeney@mpsomaha.org. I will not be sending notices out over break, but I will be continuing to document. Exposure that should be reported are positive tests, close contacts, and COVID symptoms.

There is also a new Directed Health Measure (DHM) for Schools. It requires a student who exhibits a combination of symptoms to: receive a negative test, 10 days has passed since symptoms, or an alternate doctor’s diagnosis. A new cough, new onset of shortness of breath, or new loss of taste and smell will continue to have the same requirements for students prior to returning. Please see the infographics below.

As always, if you have questions, please reach out. Over break, I will be checking email periodically and will reply when able.

Best,

Jimmy Feeney III

Principal

Parking Lot

Please remember to be patient in our parking lot. We have hundreds of children moving in and out of the building. When it is slow exiting onto 144th Street, the bottleneck can take 5 minutes. Please take your time and be safe. Remember, we are all modeling for our students through our actions!
