Happy Holidays!
On behalf of the entire Webster CSD Board of Education, we wish all WCSD families a joyous holiday season. We are thankful for the opportunity to serve this outstanding community of students, teachers, and staff members.
Your board also hopes to see many of you throughout the winter as we enjoy our students’ musical talents during the holiday concert season and beyond. Be sure to check the district calendar on our website, websterschools.org, so you don’t miss a beat!
WCSD Faculty and Staff Share Their Stories
Hayes Photography of Webster, in partnership with the Webster Central School District (WCSD), is pleased to announce the second installment of We All Have a Story: The Stories Continue, a photography exhibit featuring portraits and personal narratives of 21 WCSD faculty and staff members. The exhibit will be open to the public at the Webster Public Library, 980 Ridge Road, from Sunday, December 1 through Tuesday, December 31, during the library’s normal business hours: Monday-Thursday, 10:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.; Friday, 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.; Saturdays, 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.; and Sundays, 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. Please note that the library is closed for the holidays on December 24, 25, and 31. There will be an opening reception for the exhibit on Tuesday, December 3, 5:30 – 7:30 p.m., at the library that will also be open to the public.
During the 2017-18 school year, portrait photographer and WCSD teaching assistant Linda Dow Hayes wanted to design a meaningful, personal project that would give back to her WCSD colleagues and reflect WCSD’s vision: Compassionately Connected, Joyfully Engaged, Always Learning. The idea of connecting with interested WCSD faculty and staff members by taking their portraits allowed her to grow as an artist and connect with the community at large. Due to the success of the spring 2018 exhibit, the second phase of the project kicked off in January 2019, with finished images being shown throughout December at the Webster Public Library. Please stop by the library throughout December to enjoy this unique exhibit.

Thank you for helping us bring joy to our students this season!
Spry Lunch Break
Lunch Break is back at Spry, and parent volunteers are always needed. Lunch Break is a PTSA led program where students come out into the hallway after they eat their lunch, and they do a craft while visiting with wonderful senior citizen volunteers.
There are two ways to volunteer. You can come to school and volunteer your time, or send in a homemade baked good. Your job as a parent volunteer at Spry during Lunch Break would simply be to help with set up (or clean up), hand out crafts and guide students to available seats at craft tables, and to help the senior citizens if they need any replacement supplies, etc.
Below is a link to a Sign-up Genius. Click on the link to see the dates and times, and to sign up.
