EVERYDAY HERO
Oncology Nurse
Taylor Wheatley
Taylor Wheatley is an everyday hero because she fights cancer so other kids won’t have to. At the age of five, Wheatley was diagnosed with Leukemia. Two and a half years of treatments followed and, at the end of that fight, she was declared cancer-free.
She works as an oncology nurse at a Calgary hospital. A typical working day for a nurse means starting work at 07:30 am. and finishing at 03:00 pm. A nurse works in a hospital.
At work, she has to takes care of kids with cancer. To be a nurse you need these skills: patience, responsibility and care for kids.
I would like to be a nurse because it is an important job. I would prefer to be a doctor because I’d like to cure cancer.
