Child Care Chalkboard

August 1-31

Sunscreen Needed

As we roll into the last month of our summer program we are starting to run out of sunscreen. We apply sunscreen at least twice a day to all of the children. This causes us to go through it fairly quickly. Please bring in another bottle of sunscreen, if you have not already done so, so we can keep the children safe through this last month. Thank you!

ICE CREAM WAGON

Once a week the Youth Center kids will visit the other classrooms for the opportunity to purchase Popsicles and Ice Cream Treats after snack. The treats will cost $.50-$1.75. We will provide Otter Pops for anyone who does not have money. If you would like to bring $5 or $10, we would be happy to keep this in an envelope for your child to use each week. The Youth Center will use the proceeds for an end-of-summer Pizza Party.

The Ice Cream Wagon dates for August are:

Friday, August 4

Wednesday, August 9

Tuesday, August 15

Thursday, August 24 (Last one for the summer)

Items Needed Daily for Summer

1. Sunscreen 30+SPF (Please arrive with first application on!)

2. Swimsuit and towel (Please label)

3. Water Bottle (Please label)

Field Trips

Summer is the time for field trips. Please pay special attention to the schedules listed under each week to see if any special items are needed for those days. We will also list a price for field trips with a cost. This price will be added to your bill so that you do not need to bring cash on that day. Please note that all fieldtrips listed are tentative as we find available bus drivers.

Closed for teacher in-service

Monday, August 28: Closed for Teacher Training and Classroom Prep

Immunization Update

When your child receives new immunizations, please bring those records in to the office. We must keep immunizations up to date on all children. Our records are checked yearly to make sure all children are current. Thank you for your help in this matter.
