Viking View
August 24, 2020
Welcome Back!
Students will need to be masked when entering and leaving the building, throughout the hallways, and in their classrooms when they are not able to keep six feet distance from each others. Grades K, 3, and 4 classrooms will be eating in the lunchroom spaced 6 feet from each other because their classroom sizes are too large to be able to eat without masks in their classrooms. Grades 1, 2, and 5 will be eating in their classrooms. Lunch choices will be limited at this time.
Please fill out this survey. It will help us prepare for your child's morning routine and after school plans.
Virtual Open House
On Thursday, August 27th after 3:00 pm, you’ll be receiving an email with your child’s class placement information and a link to our Viking School “Meet Your Teacher” Google site. On this site, you’ll be able to locate the classroom teachers and also, specialists who your child may encounter throughout the week.

- the Acceptable Use Policy,
- Receiving, caring for, using, and returning the learning device,
- the Device Use Pledge,
- the Device Protection Plan (DPP), and
- Internet connectivity.
As always, we appreciate your support as we work together to make the 2020-2021 school year a success. Thank you!

School Supplies
Please plan to send a few of your child's school supplies over the first few days of school so they do not have so much to carry in on their first day. Please label your child's supplies.
Bus Tickets
Bus Tickets are $10.00 for a strip of 10. You can purchase them at the school office. If you are writing a check, make it payable to GFPS. If paying in cash, please bring the exact amount due. Since visitors will not be allowed to enter the building, students will assist in the purchase and collection of tickets. We are hoping to make it available in the near future through myschoolbucks website.
After School Programs
At this time, the district is not conducting after school activities and/or clubs to allow our custodial staff time to thoroughly sanitize and prepare the building for the next day. The only option for after school care is ENCORE for those who have previously registered for that.
