About my self esteem

I don't usually concern myself about being rejected by others, although it does cross my mind form time to time. I don't really bend over backwards to get other peoples approval, at least not to much. Even though rejection hurts allot, I try not to let it affect how I feel about myself, I am worthy and i have much to offer to someone. most of the time i have a well balanced realistic self-esteem. I am also confident and competent in daily living activities. the only real approval I am worried about in my life is my own. for the most part I respect and approve of myself, so that gives others a way better image of me. I think for the most part over all I have mild to low self- esteem .

Affect of low self esteem

Low self-esteem is not recognized as a mental health problem, but they are very closely related. Negative thinking patterns associated with low self-esteem, such as assuming you will fail at things you do, can develop over time and lead to mental health problems such as depression or anxiety. Low self-esteem can make it hard to try new things or complete new tasks, such as starting a new hobby or completing a job application. this can stop you from living your life the way you want, and can also lead to depression over time. if you find certain situations difficult because of low self-esteem you may start to avoid them and become socially isolated. This could also result in depression, and depression may result in mental health problems over time.

What I can do to maintain my self-esteem

There are many ways I can maintain my self-esteem, but I need the best ways. One way I can keep my self-esteem is to work hard and set goals. If I have goals set to reach I am less likely to loose my self-esteem. Another thing I can do is keep being appreciative, take time everyday and appreciate the good things. Even though there's probably some bad I can always remember and be thankful for the good things. One of the best methods of maintaining my self-esteem is just do the best I can when theirs a problem. Personally this is the best method for me, because when you do your very best, whether its in sports or life everybody, including myself knows I couldn't of done any better because I did my very best.
