Dear Parents / Carers,
On Tuesday we held an open evening for parents of prospective Reception pupils for next September. This was well attended and we were very proud of our Head pupils, Ella and Freddie, who talked about their experiences at our school.
On Thursday Years Five and Six took part in an anti-bullying workshop as part of national Anti-Bullying Week. They enjoyed the day which culminated in a performance for their parents and learned about different forms of bullying and what they can do to help resolve these situations.
Also on Thursday, you may have seen Rashford class around the village as they used a geography lesson to learn about their local area. They were very excited about their walk and behaved safely throughout. Well done Rashford!
Finally, today we have been interviewing for an acting Deputy headteacher for the next two terms whilst Mrs Cameron steps up to Acting Interim Head. I will let you know the outcome in due course.
Also today, we are saying goodbye and good luck to Mrs Hey who is leaving us to take up a new role. Mrs Hey has been a big part of our school and has worked with whole classes, groups and individuals over her 4 years with us. We are sad to see her go but wish her well in her new venture.
Have a lovely weekend,
Karen Williams
