Week of Monday, February 18th

This Week in Room 508:

Hope you all are enjoying the day off!! This week we will continue learning about President's Day, focusing on the traditions and customs that patriotic holidays celebrate. We will continue to learn about George Washington and Abraham Lincoln.

Name That Texan!

We will soon begin our Texas unit and the students will be learning all about the state of Texas. Please send in a baby picture (no larger than 4 x 6). I will post them in the room and the students will try to figure out who each picture is! Please have your child's picture sent in by next Monday, February 25th.
I will return the pictures in about 2 weeks.

Pledge Week

It is now kindergarten’s turn to take over morning assembly! Our class will be responsible for the greeters at the door, reading the lunch menu, the US and Texas pledge and the moment of the silence. Our week will be the week of Monday, March 4th. I will soon assign each student their job, and if your child has a reading part I will send home a practice sheet with them the week before. If your child has a job on any given day, please make sure to arrive on time for morning assembly at 7:40 am. Please let me know if you have any questions about this!

Saturday, March 2nd is the Pebble Creek carnival. I hope to see you all there!! It is a great way to support our school while having fun!
