BOARD MEETING NOVEMBER 11
Our next Executive Board Meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, November 11 at 8:00 p.m. in the Media Center. All parents are welcome to attend! Feel free to sit in to learn more about what’s going on with the band. Minutes and agendas are located on our website.

HELP US CONTINUE TO PLAY STRONG!
For the next few weeks, we’ll be highlighting various board positions and committees so that you can learn more about our terrific organization. We want every parent to be a part of this award-winning program!
**SUPPORT SERVICES**
The Vice President of Support Services is responsible for recruiting band family parents for all areas in which the band needs help in order to run smoothly. This position takes care of procuring and ordering items that may be needed to support the band program, such as shirts and name tags for our volunteers, supplies for first aid kits, and even wheels for our equipment carts. The VP of Support Services is there to give the support the program needs. This position does not require volunteering for everything; it is a position that takes organization and planning. This position is a voting member of the board.
There are several areas under Support Services that could use your help in 2020-2021:
Lead Chaperone
This is the main chaperone at most marching events; helps organize those who want to chaperone.
Guard Liaison
Reports guard needs for marching season and winter guard season; helps communicate to guard parents.
IDL Liaison
Same as above, but for the Indoor Drumline ensemble.
Help is needed in Support Services year-round! This includes events such as: band camp, football games, marching competitions, parades, LGPE, Winter Guard shows and Indoor Drumline shows.
If you have interest in serving on the board, acting as a committee lead, or being part of a committee, please contact our VP of Support Services Jane Sowden at supportservices@roswellband.com or at 404-931-7901. She is happy to go over any questions you may have about positions.
