The Week in Review
Not a ton going on this week, so this will be a short read.
This past week we learned about food chains and how the energy flows within that. We learned that making changes to one part of the food chain can have drastic effects that can be felt far and wide. We explored with activities and Gizmos how these chains impact the world we live in.
In Social Studies, our students are finishing their work on their great billboards! These billboards will be finished in the coming days and will be presented to the rest of the class before we leave for the break!
In other world news we had a fantastic time at the Mid-Year Auction using our book dollars to bid on awesome donations that have been sent in! Congratulations to all the auction winners! KEEP READING!

On Deck: Social Studies
In Social Studies, we will finish our billboards which will sell our colony to other groups. Most groups are putting on the finishing touches and have begun preparing their presentation to wow the rest of the colonies and convince them to uproot and move.

AquaUpdate
The investigation into the presumed near fatal experience is still ongoing, but that member of the Ops Crew is still alive (as of Friday). Though he has not been seen eating food since the accident, somehow he remained alive all week. The lone other member of the Ops Crew appears to be taking the opportunity to eat more than his share of food due to his somewhat-fallen comrade.
Tensions were high in the tank this week as the water treatment that was applied on Monday sent the tank into a frenzy. They should be happier fish in the long run, but who knows how many fish were upset with the cloudy water and increased pH. Everyone in the tank took it in stride though as Nyx remained to himself and Apollo and Flick provided countless entertainment for those who chose to watch.
