State Testing
Testing site information and details will be emailed on March 9th.
You can confirm that you will be in attendance directly from the email. Learning coaches/guardians are responsible for student transportation to and from testing sites. State testing is MANDATORY for students 3rd-12th grade.

K12 Stem Contest Details
- The theme for the 2018 K12 STEM Contest is MAKE A SPLASH! Using water—and your own unique, crazy brilliance—build a machine that links a series of devices together to ultimately (you’ve got it) MAKE A SPLASH!
- Submissions MUST use water in some capacity.
- Submissions MUST showcase a Rube Goldberg machine, i.e., a deliberately complex contraption in which a series of tasks are linked together to produce a domino effect.
- Submissions MUST contain a video of the machine in action.
- The contest is open to all students from kindergarten through 12th grade.
- Three finalists will be chosen from each grade level, and will receive a trophy and a STEM kit
- An Overall Winner will be chosen, in addition to the grade level winners, and will receive a trophy and a STEM kit.
- Each and every student who submits their creative water machine will receive a certificate of participation.
- All finalists’ machines will be featured in an online gallery.
- All submissions must be received at stories.k12.com by 5 PM (ET) Friday, March 9.

MGLVA Talent Show
Upcoming Events
SY 18/19 Re-Registration
All Learning Coaches will be asked to log in and mark if they are re-registering or not re-registering for next school year so MGLVA administration can make staffing decisions.
Parent Information Sessions will begin on March 5th and can be found in the LC account by clicking on "My Schedule" under "Events."
The Parent Sessions: SY18-19 schedule is below:
HS Parent Session-March 5th 11am & 5pm
MS Parent Session-March 6th 11am & 5pm
ES Parent Session-March 7th 11am & 5pm
The same session will be offered twice a day. Sessions are optional but are highly recommended.
LC Discussion Workshop

Are you getting Antsy about testing?
Let’s talk about how to handle those creeping ‘Jitters’ with our character critters.
This group will discuss ‘test-taking tips’ to help control anxious feelings.

All are invited for reading fun at Barnes & Nobles across the state on March 16th from 2:00pm-4:00pm. Click here to RSVP
