WELCOME BACK TRIANGLE FAMILIES
Welcome Back Triangle Families!
We are so glad to be back together for the 2019-2020 school year!!
We hope you all had an amazing summer and enjoyed your time with friends and family to the fullest.
Please take a moment to read some important information you should know before the first day of school.
Meet our New Principal!
Hello Triangle Families!
My name is Mr. Deavers and I am proud to be the new Principal at Triangle Elementary. Just a little about my professional journey: I have worked in Prince William County Schools for 12 years, spending 6 of that teaching 4th grade, and the last 6 as an Assistant Principal. I have absolutely loved every minute of my time in our great county.
As a school, we will be working hard this year and focusing on our Reading and Math instruction at all grade levels. We will continue to work on responsive classrooms and also incorporate restorative justice practices.
I look forward to working with you and your child(ren) this school year! Feel free to reach out at any time!
We can't wait to have everyone back on August 26!
-Geoff Deavers, Principal

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL
It's school time again!
You're probably feeling excited and maybe a little sad that summer is over. Some kids feel nervous or a little scared on the first day of school because of all the new things: new teachers, new friends, and maybe even a new school. Luckily, these "new" worries only stick around for a little while.
If your child is struggling with the transition and wants you to stay, the best thing you can do to help your child is to leave.
We have support teachers and counselors available to help and before long, your child will feel completely comfortable in his/her first day of school.
If your child has had a particularly difficult time separating from you, we will call you and let you know that your child is doing well!
Please note we will only allow parents to walk their child to class on their first day of school! Remember: You must have a valid ID to enter the building. This is for our students safety!
NEW DOOR SECURITY
Please be advised that, effective Monday, August 26th, 2019. You will be required to show ID before entering the building.
Please read below on instruccions on how to use our new system will be down below
1. Remember to show your ID
2. Press the call button located on the left side
3. You will be greeted and asked the reason for your visit

PARENT VUE
New this year, parents and students will have early access to class schedules via The Hub, the new portal which encompasses ParentVUE, StudentVUE, and TeacherVUE. Elementary and middle school schedules will be available on August 16 and high school schedules on August 21.
Preliminary bus schedules will also be available in The Hub starting in mid-August. Bus routes are based on student enrollment and can change in the beginning of the school year. Parents/students are encouraged to check their account the day before school starts to receive the most up-to-date bus information. The first day of school is Monday, August 26. Bus schedules will not be emailed to parents/guardians, and due to security reasons, bus routes will not be posted on the PWCS website.
Parents and guardians were sent instructions on how to set up their ParentVUE account in July. If you are a parent/guardian, and did not receive an email or deleted it, please contact the main office for assistance. Please note, only parents/guardians with legal rights to access a student’s educational records are able to establish an account.
Students can access their StudentVUE account by visiting studentvue.pwcs.edu or the mobile app, using their Microsoft 365 username and password credentials.
NO DISSMISSAL AFTER 3:15
Parents, as most of you know WE WILL NOT BE DISMISSING AFTER 3:15PM
With dismissal starting, teachers concluding the school day and giving last-minute instructions to students it is very disruptive to dismiss after 3:15. This will help us ensure all students get home safely. If there is an emergency situation, please contact the main office.
If you do need to pick your child up early we ask that you to send in a note, email or call the school letting the front office and teacher know.
