Submitted by Mr. LangeNew to the math department this year are ViewSonic overlay smart boards. Teachers can work problems by writing with their fingers. In the upcoming weeks, Internet will be available to use with programs such as Google Classroom, Quizzez, and Oktopus. ViewSonic is an overlay which allows teachers to write over textbooks or displayed pictures from their computer monitor. One of the first problems the students got was to determine how many 59 cent markers must be saved in order to pay for the View Sonic board. More to come in the future!
Seniors in Mrs. Hohl's class recently wrote manifestos. The students spent several days analyzing both personal and corporate manifestos in order to understand what a manifesto is, what they have in common, and what they require. Students then spent time thinking about their own beliefs, values, and goals for the future before crafting their original manifestos.

The presentation includes explaining the program and encouraging students to read the 2018-19 Rosie nominees. For each nominee a student reads he/she is encouraged to fill out a voting ballot. Students that read 5 of the nominees will be invited to a pizza party at the end of the school year.
