If Your Student is Sick
Any student will be sent home if he or she has a temperature of 100 degrees or higher, vomiting, diarrhea, or signs and symptoms of a possible communicable disease. Please keep student home until they remain fever-free for 24 hours without the aid of medication and are free of vomiting or diarrhea symptoms for 24 hours prior to returning to school.
Photo Shoot with Leo and Tucker
Have your very own winter- themed holiday photo shoot with Leo and Tucker, our therapy dogs! We will be donating all proceeds to the Violet Fire Dept. Toy Drive to support families in need in our community! See the flyer below for more details.
Dress to Go Outside
Please remember to send your child to school prepared to go outside for recess. If the wind chill is 25 degrees or above, students will be expected to go outside for recess. Indoor recess will only be held on days of inclement weather or when the wind chill factor is below 25 degrees.
Holiday Toy Drive at SCE
We will be collecting toys and other items for the Toys for Tots Holiday Drive November 28th – December 14th. Please consider donating new toys OR any of the much needed items below:
Headphones / Earbuds
Video games or game related items
Bath and body related gift sets (male and female)
Hair care or fashion accessory items for girls
Diapers/ Baby related items
Night of Engagement
Pickerington families please mark your calendar for December 12th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. PLSD will celebrate families, students and staff at the 2nd Annual Night of Engagement that will be held at the Wigwam. Dr. Briggs will share, "What our families and tax payers can expect from the passage of our bond issue." The fun and fellowship will begin with highlighting our talented musicians, the Masked Singers, Kahoot and plenty of refreshments for everyone. Let us represent Sycamore Creek Elementary. Seats are limited, so make certain you RSVP for Pickerington Schools' 2nd Annual Night of Engagement. See the flyer below for details and how to RSVP.

Friday December 9: Home Alone Movie Night in the Cafetera. We must limit the number of people to 250 due to fire code so please include everyone on your RSVP.. Pizzas will be available by pre-order from Donatos for $15 and sodas are $1. Flyers are going home today with the kids and are attached at the bottom of this newsletter. You must RSVP even if you are not purchasing pizza.
Bake Sale during the movie night-all donations will go to a local PLSD family.
