Thurston Colt Round-Up
Bi-monthly Student and Family Newsletter
From the Principal
April 17th, 2023
Hello Colts and Colt Families,
Welcome to Quarter 4 - the final quarter of the 2022-23 academic year! This quarter will go by quickly, especially for our seniors. We're looking forward to enjoying these last nine weeks together.
Our kick off to spring started with Colt Night. We loved seeing many current and future Colts and Colt families on campus. Current students hosted tables for their clubs, activities, or sports; executed demonstrations in classrooms; prepared food in our student run kitchen; and performed in the courtyards and on-stage. Teachers and staff led information sessions, organized demonstrations, and enjoyed meeting our incoming Colts. It was great to showcase our new programs in Culinary Arts, Visual Media, and Health Services.
Let's finish this year strong.
Go Colts!

Students Arrive Prepared and On-Time to Class
As we wind down the last 9 weeks of the school year THS will be placing a heavy emphasis on students getting to class on time. As the weather gets nicer students will have a tendency to want to spend more time in the hallways or attempting to go off campus during passing times. Please have a conversation with your student around the importance of getting to class on time. Thank you for your support.
Quarter 4 Campus Hours
In an effort to secure our Thurston campus, we will be closing campus shortly after the completion of the school day. Office hours are from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m and these are the same hours for students, unless they are actively participating in a school sponsored event.
Key Times to Remember:
3:45 Hallway gates will be locked
3:45 Library will be locked
4:30 Front gate will be closed and locked
