CHS Weekly Update
Week 15: 12-8-19
10 Days Left
This week, I'm writing the newsletter from the official Shultz Animal Farm. If I'm a zombie tomorrow, just ask about our animals we've acquired in the last week, and I will try to coherently explain (yes, I think we are gluttons for punishment). We are quickly moving through December and it's hard to believe that we only have 10 days left before Winter Break. These days will pass by quickly and will be busy!
Other Things on My Mind...
- The Gibraltar Christmas parade was this past weekend and it was so nice to see so many of our students come out - including our well-decorated marching band. If you ever have the opportunity, it's a nice quick parade that is fun for the little ones.
- Companies will be in on Tuesday to walk the building and decide if they would like to bid on our bond work. I'm not exactly sure what that process looks like, but it will take place immediately after school.
- This week, CSI will meet after school in the library on Wednesday. If you are interested in being a part of CSI, please consider attending. There will be 3 after school meetings and if you are a participant in all 3, you will receive the $100 stipend that Trish shared.
- We have a staff meeting on Thursday after school at 2:45 in the media center. We will continue with our This is My Best (Moll, Giorgi, and Fodor are up) staff share outs, hear progress from CSI, examine our Cognitive Rigor Matrix activity as a staff (and talk about assessment planning), and finally examine our SGP results comparatively speaking (I have a plan that involves students with this).
- Carlson and Shumate choirs will be presenting their annual Feast this weekend. If you're interested in attending this cool event, please see Robert Vandergriff for more information.
- As a reminder, elementary schools will continue to host their holiday concerts this week. They use our first floor rooms to get students ready to go on stage. All of the elementary principals have reminded staff to leave each room as they found it. If you have anything out in your room that could be harmful to the littles, please put it in a safe place.
- Have an awesome week! :)
