IStation On-Demand Assessments for Progress Monitoring
Last week our IStation Implementation Team began to discuss and explore the "on-demand" assessments that IStation offers. The on-demand assessments are IStations version of both discrete and general outcome measures that we would use to progress monitor a student in the tiered process. IStation's on-demand measures are most similar to the DIBELS measures that we are familiar with.
It is not the expectation or recommendation that any school abandon DIBELS at this time in order to move solely to using the on-demand assessments in IStation. Please continue using DIBELS measures for any students that are already working through the tiered process, as your team will want the student's progress monitoring data to stay consistent for the remainder of this year. If you are interested in piloting Istation on-demand assessments as a progress monitor for any scholars to MTSS there will be required training for staff and we ask that you please reach out to Sarah.
We will continue to work with IStation and our pilot schools to learn more about the on-demand assessments and how they compare to the DIBELS measures that we are currently using.
If you have any questions, please reach out to Karen Hollar or Sarah Reeves for further clarification.

School Spotlight
Winecoff uses their 3D printer to create dice specifically for units and standards teachers and students are learning. Some examples are:
- 10/1 die and +/- die to work on ten more/ten less and one more/one less (attached below)
- Dice with vowels and Spanish vowels
- Dice with specific numbers that are used for related fraction work in upper grades
- Larger dice for younger students and/or students with fine motor deficits
They are SUPER cool and a very cost-effective way to tailor lessons/tasks/games to students need and specific units/standards!
