Stars and Wish:
Stars:
- Reading and Math IC checks have made it evident that we are using the district curriculum and best instructional practices with fidelity! It has been great to see strong whole group mini-lessons, rotations, and powerful small group instruction occurring! Be sure that students practice skill being taught in mini-lesson:)
- While visiting classrooms for IC checks another impressive note is the ability for teachers to seamlessly go from whole group to small group while managing stations - you all make it look easy (and I know it isn't)!
- When visiting with teachers about classrooms or students, it is great to hear the student need be the focus. We are here to help each child find success and that is the trend of the conversations and focus!
Wish:
- Keep monitoring attendance - our 90/90 is significantly lower this year compared to last year - currently 87% - last year we were at 93% at this time. Becky will put a report in your box showing students below 90%. Achievement and attendance go hand in hand.
Upcoming PD/PW
November 21 is the next Celebration Assembly and be sure to give input on the PRIDE matrix so that can be finalized by the Culture and Climate team.
December 5 is Celebration Assembly and Myki will lead the staff in training that morning in the library.
December 20 - Each SAP team will share out an update on their learning/focus/ and progress. On this day we will also do mid-year reflection on building goals.
