how Food Chains work
Food Chains are important because some animals eat plants and some animals eat other animals. The animals that eat plants are called herbivores. When the herbivore eats a plant it gets energy. The sun gives energy to the plant. So when the herbivore eats the plant it gets energy . Then theirs a meat eater but theirs a more sophisticated word for it. The word is carnivore. A carnivore is a meat eater it likes eating other animals. Carnivores get energy to. by eating a herbivore that ate a plant already. So the sun gives energy to the plant the the herbivore eats the plant and gets energy then when the carnivore eats the herbivore it'll get energy by eating the herbivore. And that's how a food chain works.
