Gladiator Spring 2017 Lacrosse
For 3rd and 4th Grade Students
Is your 3rd or 4th Grader interested in playing Lacrosse?
The best way to prepare to play the great game of lacrosse is to get started with a quality experience. Games will start in late April/early May and run through the 1st week of June. Our expectation is to play games within our conference. Most importantly, practice will start mid-March. Although a volunteer coaching staff is a must, we will have our current coaches help to give kids the most beneficial piece to the puzzle: positive, progressive practice time. At the same time, they will help expose volunteers to the game. This age will prosper from organized instruction.
3rd-4th Grade: Will play an 8v8 format. Our expectation is to play with the Suburban Youth Conference, however, if needed, we will find additional games. We will expect 8-10 games. Weather permitting, practices will start mid-March.
Look for 2-3 days of practice through April. All players will be provided the necessary equipment with the exception of a helmet (must be Lacrosse NOCSAE approved), mouth piece and athletic supporter. Shoulder pads, elbow pads, gloves, and stick will be provided but MUST BE RETURNED. We will have a MANDATORY PARENT MEETING on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 from 7:00pm-8:00pm in the Community Education Center Cafeteria. Uniform sizing and equipment distribution will occur at this meeting.
