RCHS hosted November’s Parent Advisory Council meeting. Mr. Cook and Mr. Bauerschmidt presented updates on technology, secondary curriculum, and Career Technical Education. All schools in Russell County are supported by Title I federal funds. Title I schools are required to set annual goals for school improvement, measure student progress using Alabama State Standards, and implement programs and services beyond what the district usually provides. The district and schools are also required to plan how they will involve parents and families in the education of their children. This newsletter is just one of many ways Russell County School District strives to keep families involved as well as educated on all Title I supports.

The annual Stakeholder meeting was held on August 25th from 5:45- 7:00 at the Warrior Training Center. All stakeholders have a right to know what is happening in their school district. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to Mrs. Kimmel at kimmels@russellcsd.net.
