Safe2Help Nebraska is a confidential and anonymous reporting hotline for students, families, staff or community members to report concerns. Examples of potential topics that could be reported include depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, bullying, relationship issues, substance abuse or distribution or threats against a school or an individual.

The Safe2Help Nebraska app is installed on every OPS iPad and provides easy and immediate access to report a concern.

• The online volunteer application is available for all adults who wish to volunteer on a school campus or chaperone day field trips, and district-sponsored activities with students.

• The required volunteer application allows the District and the schools to provide the appropriate level of clearance for school volunteers, protecting our students.

• If you have not already done so, please complete and submit the iPad agreement form to your student's teacher or the office.

• This form must be completed each year.

• An iPad will not be issued to your student if the agreement is not submitted. Come to the office or call 531-299-1520 if you need another form.

• $20 insurance (optional) is available for the CURRENT school year (DUE at the end of OCTOBER).

Warranty Information

• Each student is allotted two damage incidents per year covered by the Apple Warranty.

• The provided case must be on the iPad at all times or the warranty is void.

• This does NOT include cables and bricks (chargers).

The following are important expectations to remember:

• iPads should be used for EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY.
• Limit the use of iPads to no more than 30 minutes each day.
• Use two hands when carrying the iPad.
• Always sit when using the iPad.
• Keep iPads away from food and liquids.
• Do not remove the iPad from it’s case.
• Do not lean on, step on or place anything heavy against the screen.
• Always keep the cover closed when it’s not in use.
• Students should take their iPad and charger to and from school every day.
• Students should also charge their iPad every night.

• The school doors will open at 8:30 for students who are going to eat breakfast.
• Students who are not going to eat breakfast will enter the building at 8:35.
• PK parents/guardians/students will enter the building through the main doors.
• Students will be tardy if they arrive to school after 8:50.

DISMISSAL:

For safety reasons, there will be a staggered dismissal each day.

• Kindergarten & 1st grade - 3:55
• 2nd & 4th grade - 4:00
• 3rd and 5th grade - 4:05
