This information is directly from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services:
Wisconsin children ages 5-11 years old are now eligible to receive the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine. The Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine requires two doses for full protection and is the first and only vaccine currently available for this age group.
After successful clinical trials and a rigorous review of all available data, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) authorized Pfizer’s request to expand the emergency use authorization (EUA) to include children ages 5-11 on October 29. On November 2, the CDC Director officially confirmed the vaccine is safe and recommended the vaccine to this age group.
To find vaccination locations currently offering the Pfizer pediatric vaccine, go to Vaccines.gov. You can also call 211 for help finding a healthcare provider or a vaccination location.
Parents and guardians can find information they should know about COVID-19 and vaccines for children on the COVID-19: Resources for Parents and Guardians page.
Please see below for the most up to date COVID-19 testing sites from Washington Ozaukee Health Department dated 11/12/2021.
Students should keep all over the counter medications (Advil, Tylenol, Aleve, etc) in the original containers and complete an "over the counter medications" form with the office. Students are NOT allowed to have medications at school kept in lockers, backpacks, on person, etc... They must be held in the high school office. Please contact Mr. Leach with any questions. Please be safe and set yourself up for success by following this expectation.
Family Lunch Account Balances
The Northern Ozaukee School District is able to provide breakfast and lunch to all students at no cost due to the USDA extending the nationwide program through the 2021-22 school year. Every student is eligible to receive the free qualified meals through this program.
In order for it to be a reimbursable (free) meal the students must take at least 3 of the 5 components offered each day. If they are unsure of what those components are they are encouraged to ask any of the cafeteria staff.
Any Ala Carte items outside the normal meals, including additional milks, will continue to be charged to the student food service accounts.
A family will be permitted to deplete the account to a negative $5.00 balance.
When a family account is depleted student(s) will not be allowed to purchase any a la carte items. You will receive automated phone calls or emails letting you know if your account has reached a negative balance. Please monitor the lunch account.
Families can access Skyward Family Access for account balance and purchases for each day.
Families who are free or reduced, please note that if your child decides not to participate in the program and brings cold lunch, milk will cost $.40 per carton. Please send money along that day or deposit money into the lunch account. (price subject to change)
