FOCUS ON YOU

Alpha Waves for Study, Focus, and Creativity.

Brainwave music, is complex music which contains binaural beats and isochronic tone frequencies. This music ranges between the Theta and Beta ranges, known as Alpha Waves, comprised of 3Hz to 18Hz which flows up and down.

These binary beats promote and assist in the enhancement of creativity and focus for the tasks at hand." Psychology Today, also supports research that alpha waves reduce depression.

Enjoy these binary beats during your next study or work session.

Are Your Earbuds to Loud?

According to Physicians Hearing Solutions, using earbuds at high decibels can cause "noise induced hearing loss". The louder and longer you listen the more damage that can be done.

Recommendations:

Use the 60-60 rule. The rule is you wear the ear buds for 60 minutes at 60% volume level.

Top 10 Test Taking Strategies

Test-taking strategies can help you improve your academic performance. Try these test taking strategies:

  1. Learn academic vocabulary and regularly use the vocabulary
  2. Work at a steady pace
  3. Use deep breathing during testing. Many test takers will hold their breath while under stress cutting off the oxygen to their brains. The brain needs plenty of oxygen to run at optimal levels. Be mindful of your breathing.
  4. Share your learning with others. This highest form of learning is teaching.
  5. Resolve to do your best
  6. Take care of yourself, drink plenty of water and this will boost your brain's functioning.
  7. Don't forget to eat right and get plenty of sleep.
  8. Take practice test
  9. Use the process of elimination to reduce answer choices
  10. Use multiple representations and evidence to defend, clarify, solve problems, and answer questions
