PL- Teacher Accreditation Changes-11/09/2014- Presented by Belinda Stantos (1 Hr)

STANDARD: 7.2.2 – Understand the implications of and comply with relevant legislative, administrative and organisational and professional requirements, policies and processes.

SHORT EXPLANATION:

7.2.2 – The afternoon session provided all the new requirements for maintaining teacher accreditation with BOSTES. In particular, I found the information regarding the now defunct T2 to be most relevant especially in regards to how the changes will affect my current period of maintenance. I feel the new structures will work in my favour. I was particularly pleased to learn that moving to the National Standards will not affect my maintenance either.

6.2.2 - The afternoon session of PL centred on the impending changes to RBPS's Strategic Planning for 2015-2017 and beyond. Using the Melbourne Declaration, we as a staff were asked to explore the document within cross stage collaborative groups.
