Cupcakes
The fifth grade students studied the life and art of Wayne Thiebaud focusing on discussing his relationship with pop art. The students used clay to sculpt their own cupcake containers, a base, a lid and embellishments. They had to show their knowledge of clay to make attachments and to build as well as think about the sculpture from all sides.
