Resurrection-St. Paul School
Encounter Christ's Presence - Year of the Eucharist
October 3rd, 2021
Dear RSPS Families,
Next week parent-teacher conferences begin marking the midway point in the 1st trimester. Two dates have been set aside for the conferences (10/14 & 10/20) from 1-5 PM. Conferences are a great opportunity to meet with your child's teacher(s) to touch base and address any questions or concerns you or they may have. This year, we will be offering the ability to meet with the teachers either in-person or virtually and a sign-up link is scheduled to go out early this week. If you are unable to attend on the dates and times set aside, please reach out to the teacher find another time to meet.
As we enter the cold/flu and allergy season, it is vitally important to continue to actively monitor the health of your child and household members daily and be alert to symptoms of illness, including, but not limited to; fever, cough, sore throat, vomiting, diarrhea, new onset of severe headache, difficulty breathing or a new loss of taste or smell. Nurse Julie Rice is working tirelessly to keep everyone healthy and safe. Please keep the lines of communication open and contact us if you have any questions.
The school administration and faculty/staff have contingency plans in place in the event that a class or classes need to temporarily transition to virtual instruction (not hybrid). If virtual instruction is needed, whether that be for an outbreak or we have exhausted our inclement weather days, we will communicate the specific plan for your child's class. It is important that you are able to log into google classroom and that you are familiar with the platform so that there can be a seamless transition if necessary.
Tomorrow we will be celebrating the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi at our school Mass. Please join us in prayer by saying the Peace Prayer by St. Francis.
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace:
where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
where there is sadness, joy.
O divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek
to be consoled as to console,
to be understood as to understand,
to be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive,
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
Amen.
- St. Francis of Assisi
Have a great Sunday and go purple team!
Sincerely,
