The March of the Mantras
Last week we began talking about marching to our own mantras, and why it's important to do some introspective research to obtain our own mantra for 2017.
Wikipedia says a mantra is “a sacred utterance, a numinous sound, a syllable, word or group of words believed by practitioners to have psychological and spiritual powers. In more sophisticated forms, mantras are melodic phrases with spiritual interpretations such as a human longing for truth, reality, light, immortality, peace, love, knowledge, and action.”
The challenge is to obtain your own personal mantra. Do some digging. Dig into that deep mind and heart of yours. What do you really desire to march to? What numinous sound would resonate with you? What melody of words could you put together to allow a symphonic sound to your soul? What phrase could you repeat that would have psychological and spiritual powers? What truth do you long for? What combination of wellness words should you put into practice?
Ah, marching to the beat of your own mantra. That makes life more beautiful and fulfilling.

- Drop 10 for Women- lasting 10 weeks with Friday check-ins
- Mindful Meditation @ Work - lasting 10 weeks, meeting every Wednesday at 1pm
- Turtle Crawl Challenge- This event will be held at Jekyll Island on May 12-14, 2017. This challenge has 4 events: a 5K, a 10K, a sprint triathlon and an Olympic tri. We will host a kick off meeting on Friday, Feb. 17th from 12-12:45. The challenge will consist of a 12 week training plan, and will also offer reimbursements! Special flyer to follow.
