The basics of self-esteem
Having a good level of self-esteem is great for making the most of life. Having good levels improves your confidence, mood, and the way you approach situations. Having low self-esteem leads to lack of confidence and power going into situations. Self esteem can be set early in childhood and adolescence but can be changed later in life.
Having too much self-esteem can be a bother to others where it is not needed. That being said, not enough self-esteem is not good either. A balance is key to success. Self efficacy+ self respect=self esteem. It is good to find your talents and set goals and visualize completing them. Use positive self talk. Feeling valued, secure, empowered, connected, and competent enhances self-esteem.
