Check out our website, conejousd.org/walnut for more information as well, including links to CVUSD safety guidelines and other resources. We will be following all safety protocols, including frequent handwashing, proper ventilation, assigned seating in classrooms and lunch tables, and maximizing space whenever possible.

Masks
- Students should arrive at school wearing their mask
- We recommend sending a bag with a few extra masks in your child's backpack, as the mask they come to school wearing may get soiled or uncomfortable during the day
- Check for proper fit
- Our safety rules prohibit masks with vents
- If your child does not have a mask, we will have extra disposable masks at the gates, in the office, and in the classroom
- Students are welcome to wear their masks outside if they feel more comfortable
Important Computer News
Students in grades 3-5 all need to have a device to take to and from school every day. Part of students' homework will be to take their device home and charge it for the next day. In light of this new policy, Walnut's 3rd - 5th Grade Students who have a CVUSD laptop/Chromebook at home should bring it to school, with the charging cable, on the first day of school. Our computer site technician will be evaluating the devices before they are reissued. Students who do not currently have a CVUSD digital device will be issued one. Teachers will send home a parent permission form with all 3rd-5th grade students. Our goal is that each 3rd-5th grade student will have a CVUSD device to begin bringing back and forth to school by August 23rd.
