Location
Have you ever visited a murky swamp where dangerous creatures lurk? Well if you haven't it's called the Okefenokee Swamp. I selected to write about the Okefenokee Swamp because, of all the mysterious creatures that lurk in the depth of the swamp. There are a ton of exciting animals that live in the Okefenokee Swamp. The Okefenokee Swamp is located in the southeastern part of Georgia.

This takes us to, what the Okefenokee Swamp looks like. The Okefenokee Swamp has pine trees and of course a swamp. Lots of animals live in the Okefenokee Swamp including the alligator. Think of the great home the Swamp provides for these animals.
How was the Okefenokee Swamp developed?
In addition, the Okefenokee Swamp was not always a swamp. It started out as a pine and oak forest whose water tables rose and areas became flooded. Now that forest is a swamp. Most of the water from the Okefenokee Swamp comes from spring and summer thunderstorms.Around the swamp is muddy. The Okefenokee Swamp is so beautiful as you get to watch the water trickle down the river.

How do the species adapt?
I'll be the first to admit, that I have never been to the Okefenokee Swamp, but I would love to go there. The Okefenokee Swamp has so many species that live that find refuge there, such as the deer. Deer drink water from the swamp, and live in the more forest kind of part of the swamp. Also a main species that lives there is the alligator. Alligators live in the Swamp, and feed off of small mammals and fish.
